The Composition of the Killigrew-Beale catalogue compared to the Bader-Hatcher Acquisition

There was no known booklist created solely for Killigrew's library, so data concerning his collection includes titles from Bartholomew Beale as well. Some 28 books were identified as being similar to or written by one of the acquisition's contributors.

No works attributed to Jacques Cujas, Thomas Becon, John Jewel, or John Marbecke were identified in the catalogue. Both Tacitus and Camden were well-represented, with seven works attributed to Tacitus, and six attributed to Camden.

While ownership does not equal readership, it is interesting to see how well-represented most of the works in the Bader-Hatcher acquisition were within these personal libraries, either in the same language or as a translation.
